CORE Fit Tip – Eat Fresh Organic Veggies All Summer Long

Want fresh, organic fruits and veggies all summer long? Consider joining a local CSA like Loon Organics. Last year was my first year trying out a CSA share, and I quickly fell in love! I found myself trying new types of veggies that I never had considered before, and I found some new favs!

WHAT IS A CSA FARM?

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture and links the farmer to local community members who pay a sum upfront in exchange for a “share”-a weekly supply of fresh, in-season, certified organic vegetables. CSA members are directly involved with the farm and farmers, receiving weekly newsletters from the field, great recipes featuring each week’s produce, as well as other opportunities to visit and tour the farm, if desired.

To put it plain and simple – you get fresh, organic fruits and veggies, while supporting our local farmers! It’s a win, win situation!

If you have never considered a CSA, I would strongly encourage you to give it a try! We are fortunate enough to have a few local CSA’s in our area, and you can find a directory of CSA’s throughout the state of MN here.

  • Start in plank position, on forearms and toes, forming a straight line from head to heels.
  • Press through left palm to straighten left arm.
  • Straighten right arm to get into full push-up position.
